The fine ground white polenta, called Bramata Bianca, cooks in about 30 to 40 minutes. It is made from ground white cornmeal. 

It goes very well served with seafood.

 

Recipe
Polenta 
2 Litres of well salted water
50g of butter (or more if you like)
a dash of milk or cream
Parmesan Grated 1 cup
In a saucepan heat 2 litres of salted water per 500g of Polenta.
When the water is almost boiling, sprinkle in the polenta. This must be stirred continuously over a low heat until it is smooth and has thickened. It will need to cook for about 40 minutes. This requires quite a bit of stirring. Your arms will get a workout, so make sure you have someone strong nearby to help you with the stirring!
Don’t be scared to add more water when you are mixing, because it can get a little dry. Just add a little bit at a time, and will be easier to stir as well.
Add all other ingredients 5 minutes before cook time is finished, serve immediately
