The Domaine de la Ferté's 2017 Givry offers up aromas of red berry fruit, smoked meats and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample palate with an open-knit profile and melting tannins.
Grape : 100% Pinot Noir
Givry's three-hectare Domaine de la Ferté is owned by the Devillard family of Mercurey's Château de Chamirey.
Located entirely within the appellation of Saint-Julien, the vineyard stretches in a single block over two North-South rises of Gunzian gravelly soil. In parts large and coarse and in others finer, this gravel is combined with sand or iron-rich clay depending on the plot. Today, Matthieu Bordes and Keiichi Shiina have taken over Chateau Lagrange. They have undertaken an evolution of production methods towards a greater awareness of the environment and a reduction of ecological impact on the property.
